Sacred Mother Tongue are kicking off an important year for the band with the announcement of their UK headline tour, due to take place in April & May in the run up to the festival season.

The lads will be tearing up stages with the support of Cambridge Metallers -AR- on an impressive 13 date tour which includes some of the Metal scene's premier venues, such as Rock City (Nottingham), FaceBar (Reading) and The Relentless Garage (London), and they have already Sold Out their eagerly awaited York date prior to the tour being officially announced!

Sacred Mother Tongue have established themselves as one of the most respected British breakthrough artists in their genre and have consistently delivered their own potent Rock/Metal crossover mix, never failing to impress a crowd, whether playing on the hallowed festival stages of the likes of Download and Sonisphere, to the well trodden UK and European circuit.

Their debut single 'Two Thousand Eight Hundred' was inescapable and heralded their arrival on the scene, reaching #4 in the Rock chart.

The Sacred Mother Tongue tour commences immediately after the band finish recording their hotly anticipated, and as yet untitled, follow up album to their debut offering ‘The Ruin of Man’, which will again be produced by master mixer Scott Atkins.

The band will showcase the new material on tour, giving fans an exclusive preview prior to the album release in the summer and before the band start taking it to this year’s festival stages...

"We are really looking forward to finally being able to share the tracks we've been slaving over in recent months; this album was written entirely by the current line up and we are incredibly proud of what we feel we've achieved. As musicians and individuals we've found some deeper roots to pull on, so technically, and personally, we've grown and taken it to the studio and we are pretty excited by what we've produced. Now, we're taking it to the stage - let's hope everyone else digs it too!"
