Martyr Lucifer has signed a deal with Buil2Kill Records

Martyr Lucifer, former frontman of Hortus Animae, has signed a deal with Buil2Kill Records (www.buil2kill.com) for the release of his "Farewell to Graveland" debut album. The CD involves members of Hortus Animae and Opposite Sides, and also special guests like Adrian Erlandsson (At The Gates, Cradle Of Filth, Paradise Lost) and Vrolok, ex bass player of Nokturnal Mortum, and will be hitting the roads on November the 7th.

Vocalist and bassist Niilo Sevänen comments: “We're very happy to announce the first video premiere for “One For Sorrow”. The track is “Through The Shadows”, written by Ville Friman, who also sings the chorus with me. We collaborated again with our good friends from Obscure Entertainment from Tampere, Finland. And again it turned out great, like all the previous videos we've done with them. Hope you enjoy it! We had a great time filming, despite the million mosquitoes harassing us. The first media feedback on “One For Sorrow” is praising the album as the band’s best effort so far. Metal Hammer Germany wrote in the brand-new October issue: “The first impression is just completely stunning. “One For Sorrow” is still melodic Death Metal but with a complexity and catchiness that most of their competitors miss. “One For Sorrow” is the logical next step for the most promising Finnish band since a long time.”

“One For Sorrow” will be released on October 12th in Finland, October 17th in the rest of Europe and October 18th in North America. Followed by European headline run in November (see dates below).

Formed in 1997 in the town of Joensuu, in Eastern Finland, INSOMNIUM released two demos that led to a deal with UK label Candlelight Records. Founding members Markus Hirvonen (drums), Ville Friman (guitars) and Niilo Sevänen (vocals and bass) added guitarist Ville Vänni to the band for the release of their Candlelight debut in 2001. Throughout the following decade, the band went on to release four more highly acclaimed albums, the most recent of which, 2009’s Across the Dark, entered the Finnish album charts at #5. Along the way, they picked up a couple of awards in their homeland for Best Band and Best Album.

In the spring of 2011, INSOMNIUM entered the studio to record what would become “One for Sorrow”. While drums, bass, keyboards and vocals were recorded in Finland and guitars in Gothenburg, Sweden, the album has a remarkable cohesiveness and clarity of sound.

northern moon"), the most significant of which was the second one - "From the pagan vastlands" (1993), showing the growing potential of the main composer/writer. This tape was released by polish label Pagan Rec. and later
on by infamous American Wild Rags which pressed this stuff on CD. Signing with a minor Italian company Entropy rec. the band had the chance to record their debut release, a mini album entitled "And the forests dream eternally"
(1994) followed by the full length with Polish underground label Pagan records. Now, after two decades later, when Behemoth dominated extreme music everywhere and became most famous Polish act worldwide – Witching Hour
Productions proudly presents reissues of cult second and third demo on LP, CD and MD. All those releases are strictly limited with refreshed lay-out and original graphics. LP will be released as black-white vinyl, picture disc with
poster, patch and sticker and as black 180gr vinyl – this one only as box edition.

Italian Horror Metal band CADAVERIA have entered the studio to begin recording their new album. After their live dates in Mexico at the end of June, CADAVERIA spent the second half of 2009 in the rehearsal room to complete the songwriting for their fourth full-length.
 The as yet untitled album will contain eleven tracks and will be released in late 2010.
 In January 2009 CADAVERIA had announced the addition of Dick Laurent as second guitar. The new member's touch is clearly perceivable in the new compositions, that the singer Cadaveria defines as «heavy, obscure and insane» (http://blogs.myspace.com/cadaveriaband).
 
 Cadaveria recently made a guest appearance on Italian Death metallers Mechanical God Creation's new CD, performing backing vocals on the song  «I Shall Remain Unforgiven».

The Haunted touring Europe with Slayer announce DVD Live CD release!

Swedish Metal innovators THE HAUNTED have posted the re-scheduled dates of the band’s highly anticipated postponed tour as direct support of the mighty Slayer. In addition the band will also play several festivals this summer — see below for all so far confirmed dates.

Furthermore the band is currently working on a brand-new DVD/Live album release which is entitled “Road Kill” and will be released soon. Stay tuned for further updates in the next couple of weeks!

THE HAUNTED’s Anders Björler (guitars) comments:

«As you might have noticed, the Slayer dates have now been moved to the summer (May — August). We are very happy to have been invited personally by Slayer as support for these club shows. We will of course add more tour dates / festivals in between the shows with Slayer, so keep checking our sites.

A lot has happened the last couple of months: We are working hard on writing new material. We are currently also finalizing the DVD 'Road Kill' which will be released in a couple of months time. More info about the DVD soon…

The madness has started in March 1995 as a result of Morbid’s (drums) and Berth’s (guitar) sick ideas. Soon Egon and a guitarist Valdi joined the band, and the world groaned in fall ’95 when a vocalist Woyos came to the group. At the beginning the band was composing under the name MORASS, which was current to September ’98. After one year Egon left the crew so he was replaced by David. But no for so long, because after few months Blazic was ready to play. Finally after stabilization of the crew, the material prepared for studio devastation came into existence. In August ’98 in Sanok, the band recorded in Manek Studio a deb demo titled “Soulerosion”. Realization of that recording was occupied by Arek ‘Malta’ Malczewski, now cooperating with BEHEMOTH. Shortly before the session, Blazic bade farewell with the band so out of necessity bass was recorded by Valdi. After it turned out that there is a band in Czech Republic with the same marshy name, the band has changed the name into ETHELYN. The music included in “Soulerosion” is the synthesis of melodiousness, dynamics and aggression, wild connection of emotions with rapacity. The demo got glowing reviews as well as in official magazines and underground papers. It bore fruit of interviews, concerts and the presence on complications in Poland such as :”Blood To Come vol. 8” in “THRASH’EM ALL mag.”, “BURNING ABYSS ‘zine 4”, “Keep The Polish Underground Alive vol. 2”, “Horna comp.”, and abroad: “European Deathophobia vol. 2” (EARTH A. D. REC.) in Germany and ”Diabolical Serenade”, “Along The Sinister Path II” (MORTUARY KHAGE PROD.)in USA, besides the composition “Phoenix” for over few weeks was in the lead in playlist of French broadcast “Prelude Le’ Taufel”. The crowning achievement of promotion was signed contract with DAGDY MUSIC in May ’99. “Soulerosion” was released on the cassettes, which appeared at the beginning of the year 2000. In fall ’98 Nameless joined ETHELYN who took over the bassplayer position, and shortly was the third guitarist in the band. That pretty innovatory system kept not so long because co-founder musical obsession – Berth left the band. After an intensive searching there was found the guitarist – Les, who perfectly turned up in ETHELYN’s music. Bit by bit the material for the next recording came to existence, which was intended to be a full-scale debutant recording of the group. But before it, there was another change. Woyos – throat staff specialist – was replaced by Mysth, the youngest crewman, who brought in the new crazy look and much maniac scream. In August 2003 the crew supervised by Maciek Mularczyk (famous for close cooperation with KAT) recorded the expected for a long time CD “Traces Into Eternity”. In meantime the split-album ‘Hatred Complete”, including four tracks recorded during the session in Mamut Studio, appeared — as the foretaste of future hearings. You can find also four tracks of Nemrod band from Opoczno on it. In fall ..06 Salief took place of Les (bass) who unfortunately decided to leave the band. After year of rehearsals Salief is repleaced by Wrath. Now band is preparing for new recording session….
