TesseracT: to support PERIPHERY on the LEAGUE OF EXTRAORDINARY DJENTLEMEN UK TOUR JAN/FEB 2011
UK’s Prog YoungStars TESSERACT just returned from a successful US tour as special guest of Devin Townsend and are ready to announce the next tour. This time they are invited to be the special guest for their American friends PERIPHERY. Also on the bill are their UK mates MONUMENTS.
"After many years of hard work it is finally happening! A TesseracT and Periphery tour! Since Acle and Misha started talking all those years ago, you just knew it would come eventually. We cannot wait to show the UK exactly what both bands are about, and are very happy at the prospect of sharing the stage with such a great band."
Periphery guitarist/lead songwriter Misha Mansoor, enthuses, “We are so excited to play in the UK, and especially so with our buddies in TesseracT and Monuments. I have known Acle from TesseracT and Browne and Paul from Monuments for like 5 years now, and it’s going to be awesome to not only tour with some good friends but in brand new places for Periphery! This lineup will make for some fun shows, so be sure to come out and hang with all of us!!”
TESSERACT just released the “Concealing Fate EP” as an appetizer to the upcoming album “One”, that will be released worldwide on Century Media Records in March 2011.
With constant support from the UK media, TESSERACT has been able to achieve a loyal following in their home country as well as the rest of Europe, having their video for Concealing Fate Part II in constant rotation on Scuzz TV and other media outlets.
Formed in 2003 as a solo writing project in the mind of guitarist Acle (who was a founding member in Fell Silent) TESSERACT first broke through in the scene with their 2007 demo and later appearances at UK’s Bloodstock, Hammerfest, and the Hellfire 2 festival at the Birmingham NEC arena. TESSERACT soon became one of the most talked about bands among musicians and tech-heads, thanks to the quintet’s time signatures and musical complexity. TESSERACT are far from an exclusionary exercise in tech metal pomposity though. They fully embrace their experimental, prog sensibility without excessive indulgence or pretentiousness, delivering atmospheric, metallic songs that stir strong emotions and evoke powerful mental images.
