Brazilian metallers ANGRA entered Norcal Studios in São Paulo, Brazil on February 17 to begin recording their seventh studio album, to be released in the second half of 2010. For the first time since its inception, the band is self-producing the as-yet-untitled follow-up to 2006's "Aurora Consurgens", which will be a conceptual effort and will include 10 songs.
A one-minute audio excerpt of a brand new ANGRA song which was recorded by fans through Livestream's Twitter broadcasting system called TwitCam can be streamed below. The band says, "Keep in mind that it was extracted from a webcam, [and] it is a rough version without any mixing and mastering."
ANGRA's current lineup includes drummer Ricardo Confessori (SHAMAN), who returned to ANGRA following the departure of Aquiles Priester (HANGAR).
The band took part in a massive Brazilian tour with SEPULTURA in May 2009.
ANGRA 2010 is:
Eduardo Falaschi - Vocals
Kiko Loureiro - Guitar
Felipe Andreoli - Bass
Rafael Bittencourt - Guitar
Ricardo Confessori - Drums
Falaschi recently launched his new official international fan club. The fan club offers its members a lot of exclusive material, including news, tabs, lyrics, wallpapers, screensavers, pictures etc. The service is available in English and French.
