На этот раз североамериканские гости, разрывающие диск по четыре трека на контору. Первые SATANIC DEATH / BLACK METAL изверги, выбравшие черную науку таких актов как IMMOLATION, MORBID ANGEL и UNLEASHED. Яростный и стремительный огненный ком, который невозможно остановить, сметающий всё на своём пути! Да они, несомненно, впитали всё самое богохульное от старой школы DEATH METAL и соединили в своём одержимом вихре. Нормально смотрится и сочетание DEATH со стенкой BLACK. Соседи по диску также кровожадны и демоничны в своих стараниях сделать подвиг для своего чёрного императора накромсали OCCULT DEATH METAL с неплохими соляками и манерами тех же великих MORBID ANGEL. Но в данном случае предпочтительней будет выглядеть оригинал, а не зеркальная копия “Altars of madness” и “Blessed are the sick”. Cейчас наверно и у нас есть в каждом городе по MORBID ANGEL-у, ну а кому не хватает ещё одного бегом на поиски этих чудовищ из Мексики по адресу в преисподней данной рецензии. Кстати лейбл издавший данный СD занимается раскруткой именно латиноамериканского DEATH / BLACK METAL.

Эту банду я давно хотел услышать ещё со времён интервью с MAY RESULT (СМ RENAISSANCES) и вот с подачи FOLTER RЕСORDS мне это удалось сделать. По сути тут собраны другие идеи и цели участников самой сильной банды с Балкан, упомянутых MAY RESULT. Сокрушающий и массивный ARYAN DEATH / BLACK METAL с тяжелейшими гитарными атаками в колотящем темпе на максимуме. Нет, это конечно не GORGOROTH / BEHIRITH.HO довольна скоростная форма DEATH METAL с оттягами и переменой настроения как у MORBID ANGEL / SINISTER. Bce это с оскверненным вокалом из BLACK METAL в маршевой манере полной гордости за своё европейское наследие. Мне очень вкатил завершающий трек Месечев зрак" с прекрасным мрачным outro в виде клавишной концовки. Добротный релиз, пускай не новатор, но отличный мастер старой школы! Считаю у южных славян дела идут неплохо в последнее время и со временем все увидят их огромный потенциал Ветер дует в правильном направлении SLAVА!

Со слов их лидера Бегемота сейчас они уже далеки от материала, что исполнялся на этом альбоме. После того как севастопольцы побывали на METAL HEADS MISSION-5, они серьёзно дали крен в сторону DEATH / BLACK METAL,а до этого утверждали что slipknot и MACHINE HEAD это предел всего! Да, бывает! Тут же мы имеем дело с образчиком американского ANGRY/THRASH CORE с хлёсткими текстами антисоциального характера. Они очень наверное хотели походить на своих клоунов-кумиров slipknot и у них это отчасти получилось на некоторых треках, только картинку немного подгадил им вокалист ЛОС (ех-ЛУИЗЕТТА), который нагородил им такой каламбур из криков, воплей, эстрадного и шансонного пения ,что не хватает ещё фальцета KING DIAMOND!Более того здесь его вокал не клеится вообще как бы он не оперировал им. Последние три темы более грязные и трэшовые. Здесь “живьё” с прошлой программы более жесткие и грубые PANTERA закваски пусть и 10-ти летней давности. Фил Анселмо нынче теперь тоже блэк-металлист, посмотрим какой BLACK METAL предложат нам БЕЗДНА.

Довольно таки странное название для метал банды, впрочем, как и сама музоснова этого one-man project’a. Наверное, в погоне за оригинальностью что похвально, главарь шайки Евгений Чуркин сильно переусердствовал и тут мы натыкаемся на абстрактную глыбу, состоящую из замесов BLACK / DOOM / GOTHIC / PROGRESSIVE METAL стилистик. Наверное, ближним братом в сравнении может выступить “Strange in stereo” IN THE WOODS, когда Норвеги отказались от черной основы и предложили всем авангардный подход в металле. Инструментальная часть изобилует мрачным романтизмом, множеством клавишных прелюдий и жесткой ритмовкой с отголосками олдового HEAVY METAL. На протяжении всего стаффа группу лихорадит эмоциональными всплесками взрывных партий и совсем неожиданными переходами к ambient и techno.К сожалению LIGHT? не совсем интересны своей вокальной линией и лучше бы они продолжили сплав скримов и чистого пения как в треке”Feeling the pain loss”, а не отгружали в дальнейшем однообразным мычанием на одной тональности. И вот ещё вопрос, почему вы так мало уделили внимание вокалу вообще, инструментальные треки это одно но изыскивать полезное в вокальных аспектах не нужно лениться тем более для дебюта LIGHT?. Вопросов, как и у самой банды к себе много и в дальнейшем хочется услышать композиторский талант автора как не распадающееся ядро на атомы а единое METAL целое.

Не успеваешь и глазом моргнуть, как 35 минут проносятся как скоростной поезд без остановок. На новом альбоме помимо грайдкора FTF втиснули mathcore, eclectic metal, даже рок и прогрессив метал всё в рамках грайдкора – Главное эти стили не звучат отдельными кусками в песне, а сначала их расплавили в дуговой сталеплавильной печи – затем сделали монолит вмещающий множество музыкальных идей и подали на стол. THE AGONIST - Interview With ALISSA WHITE-GLUZ
On September 2, Philippe Langelier conducted an interview with vocalist Alissa White-Gluz of Montreal, Quebec, Canada-based female-fronted melodic death metallers THE AGONIST.
THE AGONIST recently completed a North American tour with KAMELOT, ALESTORM and BLACKGUARD. Unfortunately, THE AGONIST lead guitarist Danny Marino was unable to join the band on this trek, and was replaced by ex-THE CATALYST guitarist Justin Deguire on rhythm guitar while Pascal "Paco" Jobin took over lead guitar duties.
For fans that have been patiently waiting for new material from THE AGONIST, this tour was the first opportunity to get their hands on the band's latest release. "The Escape" EP — featuring two songs from THE AGONIST's upcoming full-length album ("Lonely Solipsist" and "The Escape") — was being sold exclusively on the road and online at CM Distro for the duration of the tour. The only way to get your hands on a physical copy of this limited-edition EP was to catch the band on its run with KAMELOT or to order via CM Distro. The EP is also available in a digital format after the tour.
Mixed by Tue Madsen (THE HAUNTED, DARK TRANQUILLITY, SUICIDE SILENCE), THE AGONIST's new full-length album is slated for an early 2012 release via Century Media Records.
In a recent interview with MetalConcerts.net, Alissa White-Gluz stated about the musical direction of the follow-up to 2009's "Lullabies For A Dormant Mind", "I wouldn't say it's heavier or more melodic. I think it sounds more mature. It has the same sort of schizophrenic side that 'Lullabies' has, but it also has some other I guess what you would call classic influences. Like, there's some PANTERA influence, there's some RADIOHEAD influence. I mean, there's a lot of influences that we didn't really have before."

The Chosen Few Collection
Artisan News recently spoke to Rob Halford (vocals) and Ian Hill (bass) of British heavy metal legends JUDAS PRIEST about the band's newly released compilation album, "The Chosen Few", which came out on October 11 via Legacy/Sony. Check out the chat below. The collection contains songs that were selected by some of the biggest names of the hard rock/heavy metal world, including KISS' Gene Simmons, Ozzy Osbourne, Slash, METALLICA's James Hetfield and Lars Ulrich, Alice Cooper and SLIPKNOT's Corey Taylor.
"This is a collection of songs chosen by our friends and respected peers," PRIEST frontman Rob Halford tells RollingStone.com. "So we hope all the metal maniacs out there will rock out to the tunes enjoyed by metal legends."

ABOMINATION Reissue
Over 20 years after the release of their self-titled debut album, ABOMINATION — the acclaimed 1990s death/thrash metal band formed by MASTER mainman Paul Speckmann — will have its early material re-released on November 4 via Nuclear Blast. As for a reunion, this will never happen as guitarist Dean Chioles died of multiple sclerosis many years ago and this was a sad loss for all."
Regarding what significance ABOMINATION has had for him personally and musically, Speckmann said, "ABOMINATION was a group that experimented with many genres of music and wasn’t afraid to try new ideas out and this was a chance to try out many of my crazy changes and the band would successfully implement them in their songs. I had the pleasure of bringing my ABOMINATION vision to Europe one time only for 26 performances and I will never forget this."

DRAGONLAND New Song Available
"Fire And Brimstone", a brand new song from Swedish power metallers DRAGONLAND, can be streamed in the YouTube clip below. The track comes off the band's new album, "Under The Grey Banner", which will be released on November 18 via AFM Records. The third part of the "Dragonland Chronicles" trilogy features musical actor Fred Johanson in the role of the antagonist, with all three singers from AMARANTHE — Elize Ryd, Jake E and Andy Solveström — also making appearances.
DRAGONLAND's fifth album was recorded at several different studios, with Jacob Hansen adding his magic touch to the mix at Hansen studios in Ribe, Denmark. Twelve songs were recorded during the sessions, and the music itself is based on a deep and emotional story, picking up where the band's second album, "Holy War", left off nine years ago.

DRAGONLAND recently parted ways with guitarist Nicklas Magnusson and bassist Christer Pedersen. Taking over bass duties is Anders Hammer (NIGHTRAGE) and sitting behind the drums is Morten Lowe Sorensen (THE ARCANE ORDER, SUBMISSION, AMARANTHE). Previous drummer Jesse Lindskog will handle second-guitar duties in the future.

Twelve songs were recorded during the sessions, and the music itself is based on a deep and emotional story, picking up where the band's second album, "Holy War", left off nine years ago.

The visual artist from million-selling PC game "The Witcher", Damian Bajowski, will provide artwork for the album; not only will he be responsible for the cover, but will also make illustrations for the various locations in the saga.
Commented guitarist Olof Mörck: "To say I am excited about this album is a grave understatement!
"We were more than thrilled when both Damian Bajwoski and Fred Johanson accepted to contribute to this album. To have the album fully illustrated with majestic scenes and vistas from the story, and to have such a powerful and convincing voice in the role of the antagonist will lend a lot of credibility and depth to the final project! Our singer friends from AMARANTHE also appear in minor roles, further developing the universe the story is set in.

DRAGONLAND recently parted ways with guitarist Nicklas Magnusson and bassist Christer Pedersen. Taking over bass duties is Anders Hammer (NIGHTRAGE) and sitting behind the drums is Morten Lowe Sorensen (THE ARCANE ORDER, SUBMISSION, AMARANTHE). Previous drummer Jesse Lindskog will handle second-guitar duties in the future.

AMON, the resurrected Florida-based death metal band featuring former DEICIDE members Eric Hoffmann (guitar) and Brian Hoffman (guitar), will film a new music video for the song "Among Us" on October 22 in Clearwater, Florida with director Chris Nemzek (former CROSSBREED guitarist).

AMON has set an October 31 release date for its new album, "Liar In Wait". The effort will be made available at the group's newly launched official web site at Amon.mobi as well as via iTunes and Amazon.com.
AMON is currently mixing "Liar In Wait" at RedRoom Recorders in Tampa with producer Mark Prator.
In a an interview with U.K.'s Terrorizer magazine, Eric stated about the decision to bring AMON back from the dead, "We were actually going to use the [DEICIDE] name [for the new band], but [DEICIDE members Glen Benton and Steve Asheim] got on the bandwagon faster than us. "They basically took the name, and Glen writes all the lyrics, so the kids are familiar with that, but in the beginning we hired Glen, and we wrote most of the music. So we had to go out and find a singer, which was pretty difficult at the time."
When asked about the musical direction of AMON, Eric said, "[The music's] a little bit more technical than the DEICIDE stuff. It's not too intricate, so it's still catchy at the same time. You'll still have a couple of classic DEICIDE beginnings, and then it'll go into some killer technical, in-your-face shit."
While confirming that AMON will play several DEICIDE classics during the band's upcoming live shows — "We've gotta give it to the fans," said Eric — the guitarist remains adamant that any chances of a reunion with Glen and Steve remain slim.
"This is our band," Eric said. "I haven't seen [Glen] in [seven] years. He says if he sees me, he's gonna shoot me and ask questions later. He hates me more than Jesus."

Escape From Chaos UK tour
Progressive thrash/death metallers ARCEYE have announced the 'Escape From Chaos' UK tour in November/December. Having played festivals such as HAMMERFEST, BLOODSTOCK and supported artists such as: DECAPITATED, FINNTROLL, MAN MUST DIE, KATAKLSYM, ARCHITECTS, BEHOLDER and more, the past two years has seen ARCEYE have a huge impact on the UK underground metal scene as well as developing their sound to the point where it is uniquely theirs.

French Progressive metallers UNEVEN STRUCTURE have partnered with Metal Hammer magazine to exclusively debut their new video for 'Awaken'.
The track comes from the band's forthcoming debut album 'Februus' which will be released on October 31st via Basick Records. The release is a thirteen piece concept spanning across two discs, mixing lush soundscapes with fierce polymetric Metal, think Pink Floyd's creativity meets Meshuggah's brutality with a side serving of Devin Townsend's progressive charm. Two special edition pre-order packages are currently available from Play.com (2 CD and signed poster pack) or from Basick Records store (CD and tee pack).

The music video is meant to metaphorically re-transcribe this and to help the viewer get acquainted with the physical representation of the Februus universe, visual codes and characters."
Filmed over two days on location in Switzerland by Patrick Haberli (Proghippie.com) and Christophe Mosconi (Qatlaq), the concept, artwork and post production was completed by guitarist Igor Omodei.

TesseracT release - One Instrumental
Progressive metallers TesseracT go back to their roots with the release of an instrumental version of their highly acclaimed debut album 'One'. Fans from the guitar forum days, where founder Acle Kahney and TesseracT begun, have been requesting instrumentals ever since the band rose from the internet to the clubs, and they will not be disappointed!

“TesseracT began as an instrumental project in Acle's filthy cat ridden bedroom, so it has always had quite a strong instrumental focus. That's not to say that we don't enjoy vocals, we love them! But, it is worth noting that with every song we write, we like for it to be able to stand up on its own with or without vocals. We've always had the mind to, about six months after the initial release of 'One', to then release the instrumental version. It’s something that the fans have always asked us to do, and we felt now was the correct time to do so.”
One instrumental is out now via itunes.
TesseracT set off on the European leg of the Lowering The Tone tour (with Vocals!) on Saturday 15 October with Chimp Spanner, and then head to the US for the Saints and Sinners tour with Between The Buried and Me and Animals As Leaders.

Federico Gasperi, general manager at Nadir Music, revealed to BLABBER MOUTH.NET that bassist Jeroen Paul Thesseling (PESTILENCE, ex-OBSCURA) joins forces with producer and guitar/keyboard virtuoso Tommy Talamanca (SADIST) in a new recording project 'NUFUTIC'. "We are very stoked about this new collaboration. Our working field will be fusion influenced metal, a direction that allows us to combine progressive elements of our musical backgrounds", says Talamanca.
The Dutch/Italian project announced via Thesseling's website [www.jeroenthesseling.com] to hold video auditions for drummers who play jazz-fusion and metal. Interested parties should send their background info and performance web links via email to: contact [at] jeroenthesseling [dot] com.
Tommy works since 1991 with the Italian prog/death band SADIST and recorded their albums "Above the Light" (1993), "Tribe" (1996), "Crust" (1997), "Lego" (2000), "Sadist" (2007) and "Season in Silence" (2010). Last year Tommy contributed a guitar solo to the track "Euclidean Elements" on OBSCURA's latest album, "Omnivium".
Thesseling collaborated with OBSCURA from 2008 till 2011 and recorded the band's full-length albums "Cosmogenesis" (2009) and "Omnivium" (2011). Metal4Bremen 2.0
Metal4Bremens zweite Geburtstagsparty
Das Magazin der Bremer Metal-Szene - Metal4Bremen - feiert seinen zweiten Geburtstag. Um diesen Anlass angemessen zu feiern, hat man sich musikalische Unterstützung mit an Bord geholt. Am 14. Oktober wird mit insgesamt 3 Bands auf der MS Treue ins neue Jahr gefeiert.
Den Auftakt machen die angesagten Bremer Sorrowfield.
Eine geballte Ladung Thrash gibt es dann von den Hannoveranern Cripper, für die dies nach dem 70.000 Tons of Metal in diesem Jahr bereits die zweite Kreuzfahrt ist.
Danach geht es getreu dem Motto „Up-The-Irons“ mit den Rotenburgern Iron Priest weiter, die eine delikate Mischung aus Coversongs von Iron Maiden, Judas Priest und anderen Größen brühend heiß servieren.
Im Anschluss gibt es dann Musik aus der Konserve mit DJ Arrow, der auch schon bei den vorherigen Metal4Bremen Veranstaltungen für Beschallung gesorgt hat.
Mit dabei sein kann man für sage und schreibe 8€ im Vorverkauf (UVP 666€) bzw. 10€ an der Abendkasse. Der Einlass beginnt um 19:30 Uhr und los geht’s dann um 20:00 Uhr.

Napalm Death Re-sign with Century Media Records
Century Media Records have renewed their deal with British grindcore legend NAPALM DEATH who has wrapped up the recordings of its yet untitled 14th studio album earlier this year at Parlour Studio in Kettering, UK with longtime producer Russ Russell.
Jens Prüter, Head of A&R / Century Media Records Europe states:
“NAPALM DEATH is not only one of the most important and influential extreme metal bands, they are also a band that always raises their voice against social ills – and even against record companies (remember “Enemy Of Music Business”). ISOLE formed under the name Forlorn back in 1990 with two sole members, Crister and Daniel. Several demo tapes were recorded in the 1990's, including Waves of Sorrow in 1994 — a recording still revered by Epic Doom Metal fans.
After a few years of turmoil, in which the band suffered myriad line-up changes, I Hate Records approached them in 2003. With a newly signed contract and much motivation, the band saw it fit to adopt a new moniker, thus becoming ISOLE.
ISOLE's debut album "Forevermore" was released in early 2005 and followed up with a 7", "The Beyond", in early 2006. The next album, "Throne of Void", released in the summer of 2006, delivered an even darker sound than its critically acclaimed predecessor.
The next step in Isole's journey was the release of "Bliss of Solitude", which was recorded, mixed, and produced at Studio Apocalypse by the band themselves. The mastering was done by Thomas Nilsson, and Peter Sallai provided the finishing touches with his magnificent yet eerie cover artwork. „Bliss of Solitude" received overwhelming positive feedback from fans and critics alike.
However, Isole did not fall prey to idleness and continuously worked on new material for their fourth album "Silent Ruins". It was an ambitious concept album, in which the band ventured into new territories by incorporating more variation and increasing the pace of the songs.
After releasing four albums in four years, Isole slowed things down. They decided to take a break from the studio and focus on playing live in order to gain some perspective before returning to the songrwriting process. After touring in more than 10 countries, ISOLE was ready to tackle their latest opus.
ISOLE's fifth release "Born from Shadows" is the continuation of a story that began in 2005 with "Moonstone" on the debut album "Forevermore" and then "Shadowstone" on "Bliss of Solitude". On "Born from Shadows" the two stones symbolize two opposites that finally come together to become one: darkness meets light, death meets life, and good meets evil.
With their first releases, ISOLE was able to secure an excellent reputation within the doom metal underground. They have now elevated their status even further with their last two albums, "Bliss of
Solitude" and "Silent Ruins". Their current work, "Born from Shadows", impressively maintains their well-earned position and lays any doubts as to their superiority to rest. The Swedish quartet understands more than any other band how to effectively merge hypnotic melodies with viscous guitar lines. The album's main focus is undeniably the heavy riffs, but occasional digressions into more aggressive realms, where growls and vicious drumming reign, also find their niche. As such, even the epic tracks remain tantalizing and require one's complete attention, so as not to miss the fine details of this musical tristesse. The dark euphonious landscapes relate the third part of the "Moonstone Trilogy", which dates back to the band's debut. The story of an endless struggle between good and evil couldn't have found a better soundtrack than that of "Born from Shadows". The four Swedes guarantee genuine and essential doom metal. Once again the album was recorded and mixed by ISOLE at Apocalypse and Gustavo Sazes (Arch Enemy, Firewind) provided his artistic know-how to convey a feeling of mysticism and darkness through his symbolic artwork, while Jens Bogren (Opeth, Katatonia, Enslaved) took on the mastering responsibilities.

Fascinated by the myths surrounding legendary Atlantis, the band Visions of Atlantis was formed in 2000. After completing their first demo CD, it took less than a year before the band found a label in Black Arrows/TTS. The company released the first full-length album, "Eternal Endless Infinity", in Europe and later worldwide.
Fueled by the positive feedback, the band not only toured with bands like Lacuna Coil, Nightwish, or Edenbridge but also played at festivals across Europe, Latin America and Asia, including the Busan Rock Festivals in front of more than 20,000 spectators. In the summer of 2003, singer Mario Plank joined Visions of Atlantis and became an important part in the characteristic VoA sound with his heavier, yet still very melodic vocal style. Furthermore, the band signed a recording deal with the well-known Austrian label Napalm Records, which released the band's second studio effort "Cast Away" worldwide in November 2004.
To mark the release, Visions of Atlantis produced their first official music video to the track "Lost", which received significant airplay on VIVA and MTV, and made it possible for the band to present the album on their first European tour alongside Epica.
In 2005 and 2006, Visions of Atlantis worked hard on new material and played gigs with the likes of Elis, Nightwish, and Edenbridge. In May 2007, the third album "Trinity" was released by Napalm Records. The artwork was designed by the renowned Anthony Clarksson, who had already made himself a name in the metal-scene by working for Exodus and Blind Guardian, among others.
The following autumn brought Visions of Atlantis to the United States, where the band toured together with Epica for 6 weeks and won numerous new fans. Upon returning, the band went through changes in the line-up.
The remaining members continued their work and in 2008 and 2009, Visions of Atlantis not only looked for a replacement for Melissa Ferlaak (ex-Aesma Daeva, Echoterra), but also wrote the song material for the fourth album "Delta", which will be released worldwide via Napalm Records at the end of February 2011.
With the extraordinary Greek female vocalist Maxi Nil, known for her work with Moonspell and her former band Elysium, the band was not only once again complete, but her addition added a unique touch to the new material.
As with "Trinity", Visions of Atlantis entered the Dreamsound Studios in Munich (Germany) in the middle of 2010 to record the "Trinity" successor under the supervising eyes of the producing team consisting of Mario Lochert and Jan Vacik. After months of hard work in the studio, "Delta" was completed in November 2010!
The elaborate and detailed orchestral arrangements mixed with the powerful and diverse guitar work, and the captivating vocal lines make "Delta" a perfect mix between the already existing trademarks of the band and new courageous elements. The result offers also highly varied, yet tight album that takes the hearts of the symphonic metal fans by storm. Visions of Atlantis first embarked on their musical journey over 10 years ago. Now, with their latest album "Delta", they deliver an impressive mix of epic power and pureemotion. Their recent tour in support of this release couldn't have been more successful. Not only did the band members, including new vocalist Maxi Nil, win over countless new fans, but they also grew closer together, as is evident in the band's latest MCD, which offers 5 brand-new songs, as well as one re-recording. Visions of Atlantis empowers the opening track, an epic symphonic version of Sandra's "Maria Magdalena", while capturing the original spirit of the '80s hit. The vocal duet comprising Maxi Nil and Mario Plank give the song a welcomed dynamic. "Melancholia", "Change of Tides", and "Distant Shores" uncover the band's orchestrally appealing style, while the re-recording of "Last Shut of Your Eyes" and "Beyond Horizon" wind this work down with a soulful and dreamy edge. "Maria Magdalena" presents yet another side to Visions of Atlantis' magical creative spectrum and will certainly influence the band's future journey, wherever it may take them.
